the BOX that saved my LIFE

since i was feeling a bit low for the past 2 days, i decided to order cupcakes from the marlamade pantry. (www.themarmaladepantry.com), actually i went here before on a sunday, around 5PM with achi icelle to try their cupcakes unfortunately it was sold out. the waiter told me, "don't you know, our cupcakes are usually sold out by 2PM.." so i was uber intrigued by this fact, and called in a day earlier to order their 5 cupcake flavors.

one would cost around S$3.90, it was a bit expensive for a piece but for me it was definitely worth it, than a buying one more pair of shoes. (earth to anton - don't spend so much, your pay is on hold) oh, i remember now, to be really really matipid the next few days, at sinabay pa talaga sa GSS - HAHA!

my love for cupcakes started when i was small, those cheese cupcakes from the panderia, Php6 each are still the best for me. they are the ultimate comfort food, together with spanish bread, pan de coco, and hopia baboy. i remember last feb, mom brought around 5 packs of hopiang baboy when they visited. also hopiang baboy is dad's pasalubong to me everytime he comes home from work, aggie gets a mountain dew, and cho gets something else, i am not sure if its bigboy or bazooka. basta puro kajologan lang nung mga bata kame, and those are the real small things that makes me happy. shucks, i miss home.

the box with the goodies, the flavors are as follows: cloud nine, limonata, chocolate deluxe, nutella and elvis. they are waiting for me.


nutella flavored cupcake, i remember emailing sonja before (june 06) to try and explore what she can do with nutella and cupcakes, eh meron naman na pala dito.


my favorite - cloud nine - white coconut cake with cream cheese, the chocolate flavored cupcakes are too chocolatey, so this is really one flavor i liked.


the inside's...


limonata - tart lemon glazed cake. i like this too, unlike sugarhouse' lemon squares, these arent too sour, they are just right, and the cake was just right as well. it was the perfect combination.
