bak kut teh
------
last saturday, i brought tita bot and lin to arab street and kampong glam - che recommended this place to them, super naaliw daw siya. so i brought them to go around the place, it was pretty nice, cool, quaint - actually naalala ko ang marikina shoe expo sa cubao.. hello, bellini's! there were lots of caucasians there, reading a book while sipping their coffee, having a quiet meal or a relaxed afternoon.
i've been there before, but not really went around and observed like any tourist would do. the best part was the weather - it was perfect, there was no sun but it wasn't raining as well.
after this tour, i brought them to grab early dinner - at LEE YU BAK KUT TEH. i have brought a lot of people to this place na, including mom and dad, mech and sel; and they all loved it. tita bot and lin enjoyed this too, they loved the soup of bak kut teh.
bak kut teh S$12, translated in english is like meat bone soup. it has mushrooms, pork innards, mushrooms, some veggies, and pork rib - so its really a meal by itself. of course, normally one would eat it with rice; tita bot and lin did.
this is like pata tim, i forgot what its called na here. the meat is very tender, just dont eat the fats, and you will be safe, S$8.
no coke light? eh di coke zero.
this is tofu skin S$6, i would usually order this with bak kut teh. i think they complement each other kasi.
