conversation with a friend from way back

so was chatting with a college friend, and it goes something like this:

alv: yun yahoo ko mga 3000+ na emails na e
alv: hehehehe

Anton lim: nyeh
Anton lim: sige
Anton lim: di ka pala nagchecheck ng yahoo eh
Anton lim: haha

alv: yup. panay spam kasi e

Anton lim: okie doks. u might want to follow up with che regarding hotels and rebooking, di ko lam kung naasikaso nan ya eh

alv: hindi rin ata e. kasi naka chat ko si jacq hindi daw niya makausap si che e

Anton lim: tawagan mo nga, check on her kasi may problem sha last na inemail nya sa akin

alv: ano problema niya?

Anton lim: emailed you na
alv: ayt
Anton lim: she has some problems sa office na naiiyak na daw sha, i think its getting from bad to worst. as in bastusan na ata sa office, at nafeel ko sa email nya ang lungkot.
Anton lim: haha
Anton lim: just check on her and make sure she is doing well.
Anton lim: plus the hotels and rebooking kasi both wala pang nagagawa if u guys want to extend our stay.

alv: ok ok
alv: thats sad. i thought she was doing well sa office kasi punta ako events niya ok naman siya
alv: kelan uwi mo?

Anton lim: im back on the 25th dec.
Anton lim: then back here on the 10th jan

alv: here for good diba?
alv: kala ko here for good na?

Anton lim: nope. not yet.
Anton lim: i thought so too, but there was a better offer.
Anton lim: so...
Anton lim: lam mo ba che applied for visa here for 6 mos to look for job, and she got approved by the ministry of manpower.
Anton lim: haha

alv: ano yun?
alv: ministry of manpower?
alv: what is that?
alv: at bakit niya gusto lumipat dyan?

Anton lim: anyway, i heard u want to stay longer, am up for it, but sana lang may magrebook. jan 3 to 6 kasi sched, so kahit 8 ok sakin
Anton lim: its the one that approves employment pass for foreigners.

alv: sige sige...

Anton lim: i think she was that desperate na

alv: hmm. she really wants to work there ba?
alv: why? bakit yaw niya dito?
alv: dami naman iba jobs a
alv: negosyo nalang tayo dito
alv: baka meron ka maisip

Anton lim: ito ang situation, shes so depressed. feel nya super bobo na sha.. and she doesnt know what to do next.
Anton lim: i guess na feel nya na its an easy way out.
Anton lim: actually, i thought of what to do na, its just that im trying to explore it pa. but i have a vague idea of what i want to do.. business wise.

alv: hmm... go yayain mo kami mag negosyo. uwi ka na dito
alv: tagal tagal mo na dyan e
alv: parang singaporian ka na a

Anton lim: actually im here for 18mos na din
Anton lim: pero the offer that came, parang tanga ako pag di ko tanggapin. hahaha!

alv: hehehe i guess sobra ganda nga
alv: hehehe so another 2 years for you?

Anton lim: i cant say, play it by ear.
Anton lim: 1 year plus maybe.
Anton lim: ito email ni che
Anton lim: Hey ton
sorry now lang reply. My plans? Nadiscuss ko na sayo. I might try looking na lang din jan.
Grabe ton sobrang parang naapak apakan na confidence ko dito. actually baka nawala na nga eh.
Everyday sobrang emotional torture.
Anton lim: so yeah she is looking of finding work here, i think balak nya punta here ng january eh

alv: hmm. that sucks! ang bait bait pa naman ni che
alv: but pansin ko may pagka malas ata siya sa work e. lagi siya inaapi

Anton lim: well true. do try to make her feel better, ilabas mo at yayain mong
lumabas
Anton lim: ahahaha... medyo nga.

alv: yup maybe yayain ko nga siya tom

Anton lim: sumuko na ata jan kaya gusto nya try here.

alv: sige dude alis na ako. have to sleep early cuz i have golf tom

Anton lim: yup. para ma destress naman

alv: ingats ka. kita kita tayo

Anton lim: okie.

just to give a little background, che and alvin were my closest friends back in college, we have dinner like every single week, we just have so much fun together, my family knows them, and i knew their family. we did play badminton together, go to buffets together, tagaytay, babuyan, etc. we just have tons of fun, to the point na some of are friends are jealous of us na.. making issues, etc.. i mean, they might feel left out, but it wasn't really intended.

truth to be told, may iba-iba na kaming buhay ngayon, though on seprate occassions when they went to singapore the past year, i still met them. alvin was with his mom, had dinner and drinks at dan ryan's, and went to his hotel to look at some of the thing he shopped for. with che naman, she was with trace and stayed over at our flat, went tioman island in malaysia last holy week.

when i was in manila, i met up with them at shang, and even if ang labo ng sched ko cause our supposed-to-be sunday lunch was pushed to 2pm na, they were still there even if i was there for just barely an hour.

i dont talk to them as often anymore, but lately che and i have been emailing each other, medyo depressed siya, as what you can see sa conversation, and binilin ko siya kay alv, na aliwin naman si che para di super depressed.

anyway, conclusion is, its really funny to look back at these things in ones life. as what my mom told me, "ton, ang yaman mo sa friends noh?" and it made me think talaga... tama ang nanay ko diyan.

i am really excited to be with them in MACAU/HK trip.

i also ymed obee, julette, pau and joan today. i kinda miss them.
