dilemma.
------
i am kind of in a weird situation right now, i don't know who i will side with. i have my parents on one side, and my sister on the other side. background is that, for the longest time my sister would want to work here (in sg) too, and my dad would not allow it.
her work in citibank sucks, she has to do major OT, so mom and dad is trying their best to find her a new job. so she went for interviews, she wants to do treasury or investments. her work now is actually supporting citibanks austalia business, so it actually is a major shift. aside from her job, she is doing home study and review for some complicated test, that if she pass, it will be easier for her to work wherever.
i received a call from mom and dad today, seldom that i would get a call with both of them speaking to me. reason being is that, when the interviewee asked her on her long term plan, she said that she really would not stay long, and that she has plans to go to sg and work. of course, who the hell in their right mind would accept a person with that kind of plan.
mom and dad was so frustrated with her. so guess what, they asked me to just go back home. meaning, if i am back home, aggie will not leave anymore. dad asked me to tell aggie that i am leaving sg anyway, so no point of her going here.
well, thats actually a good plan, if and only i have something to do back in manila. anyway, i am not trying to side with anyone, but i just have to tell aggie the truth, that within the next year or two, the chances of finding a job here will be difficult. singapore is in a recession according to the government, and a lot of lay-offs are happening, so i don't know her chances of being hired here.
yun lang.
