sunday = errands.
------

so this week has been fast, arrived in singapore, 1am on a thursday, went home, unpacked, and got in the office at around 930am. OT-ed til late, and the same thing happened on a friday.

its almost 10pm on a saturday, che went out to meet trace for dinner, i didnt join them anymore, super tamad na ako. i woke up around 1pm today, i hope i was able to get enough sleep since my manila trip kept me awake most of the time. i am trying this thing of going out once every weekend, like today, i stayed in all-day watched dvd, cooked and read 'the witch of portobello', and tomorrow, i need to go out and do the following:

- go to the gym, i've been procastinating for 3weeks now. i. have. to. go.
- money changer: get some HKD, for saturdays' trip.
- iron clothes (i might do this tonight)
- have lunch with trace and che @ popeye's.

by end of september, i have to renew my OWWA certificate, so i need not to pay travel tax and on-boarding tax. i also have to get my luggage and get OEC exit pass.

--

i am happy that i will be kinda home early this year for the christmas festivities, ill be back in manila on the 20th saturday, and back in singapore on the 4th of january (a sunday).. im happy that i will be able to do some christmas shopping, attend mass, and just the anticipation, the air and all that, i've missed that holiday feeling. (PS. i was home dec 25 last year, and dec 30, two years ago).

aggie and i am planning to go bora on that break, i hope pwede din si bespwet, if she is game, kahit 3 kame, game na.

--

i had cibo last tuesday in shangri-la plaza. i love that mall, its quiet, and you can get everything that you need naman, there's national bookstore, moviehouse, good restaurants, so pwede na.

kimono ken sunday
------

i had lunch with my 'ama' or grandmother lsat sunday, it was supposed to be a family lunch, but since its time for them to rest, only mom and i were able to make it. cho was studying for his accounting exam, ags was just tired from work, and dad is as usual sleeping, he also had a 2pm meeting later that afternoon.

so it was just 3 of us, i gave 'ama' her pabili na prune powder, and i also got her a very cute bag from vietnam. she was saying that the old bag i gave her from singapore was damaged, and it is because she was carrying so much heavy stuff. that is because its S$3 only, now at least the bag i got costs US$10. still cheap, but when she finds out, she will stop me from buying it, cause its expensive for her. you see, my 'ama' has always been very strict when it come to money, very kuripot as my mom would say.

ordered beef tepanyaki, had it well done, i am not a fan of meduim-well, etc.

spaghetti carbonara - creamy and made with mayonnaise for full japanese flare. it had asparagus and bacon all over it.

i had this roll, and its asparagus wrapped in bacon, i wish the bacon was crispier though, or better yet, i should have ordered tempura.

dad loves gindara, and i ordered take out for him pa.

mom and i tried this green tea with sago drink, which is good. unfortunately the serving is pretty small, not enough.

total bill was around Php2,000, which is not bad na, cause we also ordered california maki, am sure my 'ama' was shocked when she saw me taking picture of all this food. HAHA!

manila update aug08
------

im back here at my desk, i wish i could have stayed longer. i wish i was able to spend more time with my family (friends and relatives included).

so, i wont burden myself and start another emotional rollercoaster ride for me. i mean, yes, i still do get anxious when leaving, but i think am getting use to it, practice as they say makes perfect. i need to focus on bigger goals, like any adult would do.

taro ice consists of taro ice blended, taro milk pudding, nata and sago, Php 60, S$2 - since i was in high school i already love this drink, and note that i had this 3 out of 5 days i was back home.

i asked aggie to order me dulcelin's chocolate ganache cake, google them, as they serve the best cakes in morato, west ave, quezon ave area. mom loved it, though she really doesnt eat cake, so it was something good talaga.

close up look of the chocolate ganache cake, Php600 (S$20) for 9 inches, or Php 1200(S$40) for 12 inches.

brooklyn's pizza - white cheese is one of my favorite flavors, i remember i call paseo pa to order, and bring back some for aggie. Php 550 or S$18.

more food posts, later on.

up and coming
------

i will be super busy in the next few weeks, aside from launches and constant client requests, may mga consumer work pang nalalaman ang work ko. goodluck to me.. i will be pretty busy with so many things, and i dont know what to do first, unfortunately, i am not feeling well pa. i have chills, headache, bodyache, etc. ewan, ganda ng timing.

here are few scheds of mine:
aug 23-27: back to manila, ill probrably will need to work on some days. anyway, main point is to celebrate dad's birthday naman. also, hopefully i'd get to see joan, sila lester (to plan a december holiday break).

sept 2-5: bangkok for some work, definitely need to do double time during the evening, dahil i will be unproductively spending my days in consumer work. but am definitely excited to meet my new client, and thailand counterpart.

sept 6-10: flying to meet my family in HK. i will definitely not bring my laptop dahil hindi ito home. i wont have a proper workplace, and i dont even want to work in the hotel, ang loser naman.

---

am off to the doctor tomorrow, to figure whats wrong with my system. i have to get well and fixed, hopefully sana by monday or tuesday ok na ako. but after, i need to go lucky plaza and get OEC (exit pass) so i wont need to pay airport taxes back home. arg. why does this need to happen now?

---

thanks to bon, for being so thoughtful to my mom. you see, my mom likes this grass jelly drink that we can only get in taiwan, and since he is flying there next week he will buy daw for my mom. he can only get it daw in small stores in far flung provinces of taiwan (not even in taipei)

samalat din kay paulo for getting that thing when he passed by his' doctor. and good thing it was available again. i'll get it when he is back in manila na.

happy birthday friends!!!
------

went to liang court last night for dinner, they have the best japanese food around, since it has all things japanese - kinokuniya (japanese bookstore), meidiya (japanese grocery), all japanese street food and bakeshop. ganda, naintriga lalo ako on how tokyo would look. i want to go there tuloy, but no budget.

it was a good thing, we decided to celebrate carmen and rebecca's birthday there.

happy birthday! rebecca turns 32 or 33, while carmen turns 31 (i think).. small strawberry shortcake (damn good), S$24.

lean meat tonaktsu, 120g for S$15.80

tonkatsu ramen, S$12.80 - we also ordered the spicy version which carmen and i shared. good ramen.

salmon roe on potato, with baked cheese, S$10.80

with liza na, she was late cause she was in a production house. she now works at OSIM (our previous clinet); carmen works as a buyer in starcom singapore (local group), rebecca works in crush as a creative group head, and me, in starcom too.

we got them presents (books!) at kinukuniya - carmen got desserts book - she bakes kasi, while rebecca got a business/marketing/branding book - starbucks ek. i just told liza to get it, i gave instructions lang.

anyway, i really miss these people, we don't go out na kasi as often. before, we would usually meet up and either have dinner, watch a movie or whatever there is. we still have to do yam cha!!!

if you want a more detailed itinerary of the KL trip, go to my multiply site. here are some of the pictures i was able to take.

merdeka center, where they declared their independence sometime in the 40's. they are a young nation lang pala.

petronas twin towers at night, light up until 12mn only. its good daw to go to sky car in traders hotel, for a better view of this city centerpiece.

the city by night, at shiela's car while.

my chili's lunch, chicken crispers.

afternoon sangria i turned red. gimik with pauline, olivier, shiela, karen and nikki at 21, tipsy with sakit ng ulo.

fudge brownies, afternoon delight.

designer clearance sale, somewhere at bukit bintang.

shocked that forever 21 sell guys stuff, here in sg kasi girls stuff lang. and take note that forever 21 in manila and the rest of asia is different.

called back home.
------

i came in the office yesterday since i have quite a few things piling up, and i never want things to pile up. gusto ko tapos na siya so i can stop thinking about it. while online, marj and achi mich was online too and we had a conference - marj asked me if i wanted to visit the NGs in SYD next year. i told her am okay with it, and she got really excited and asked me to do a conference with achi mich. HAHAHA!

the best part was i got to see E again being makulit (thank you, webcam!), and talking to that little boy made me super miss him talaga. so i am really looking forward to visit them sometime next year, hopefully kasama ko si marj when visiting.

i was able to talk to ags and mom over the phone yesterday, i called them after my conversation with achi mich. so ags was telling me that dad was planning all the places that we will have dinner daw... they mentioned some names that am not really familiar plus the ones that i know:

- sofitel or hyatt
- kimpura
- one chinese restaurant with same owners as mr.choy's!

offhand, these are places i want to go to:

- cibo
- chili's
- cafe juanita
- elber's steakroom

as if naman, i only have 5 days (5 lunches and 4 dinners) in manila. so far, this is how my itinerary will go:

august 23
saturday lunch - @ cibo with HS friends. will hang out with them until late afternoon.

saturday dinner - hopefully with my family, as my dad might celebrate his bday with his siblings. so its like on shot deal, i get to see everyone of them.

august 24
sunday lunch - i dont know yet, but probably sleeping and spending the rest of it with my family.

august 25
i probably would go to some mall with mom, and buy stuff i need. then dinner might be with joan (if she is free, as i have promised this to her, and i actually cant wait) i want to go SM makati or megamall for some manila retail therapy, malamang there would be no one there cause its a monday.

august 26
ill be with mom sa office, have lunch with her as usual, then maybe go somewhere. then maybe dinner somewhere with the whole family as its dads bday. yay!

august 27
prabably buy last minute stuff, and have lunch before going to the airport at around 6pm for my 8pm flight. arg!
