bintan offsite
---

last week was out offsite, where we went to bintan island, indonesia - an hour ferry ride away from singapore. we did some team building, award ceremony and conferences to discuss the future. i forgot to bring my camera, therefore, i just grabbed these photos from some people. it was fun to see the rest of the local market, as 3 pax from the 5 markets we work with was able to go.

this was taken at the beach - where we had a telematch - it was a competition between teams - and i was at team number 4 with khoi (VN), ravi (ID), esther, jazreel, me, sid and siti (MY)- and guess what we won, it was a cool way to build camaraderie with the team. it felt great!

this was the gold medal - there was only 1 team awarded and we were that.

this was an award that i received from management - it was called braveheart - in recognition of your extraordinary contribution, resilience, independence and ability to deal with client (P&G) directly. it came with a letter and envelope with SGD 100.

---

we stayed at club med, a prime resort in bintan that doesn't come cheap, we paid around SGD560 for 3d/2n per person, but it was worth it - eat all you can on all meals. drink all you can from fruit juices to alcoholic drinks. you can also get dessert and do anything under the sun, fantastic pool, courts for badminton, basketball, soccer, etc.

this was the view of the pool from the 4th floor, nice. we swam that evening around 10pm - and the water was warm, it wasn't chilly at all.

this was the room, it was beautiful, the only problem was that its hot - everywhere - no exceptions from bedroom to conference room and restaurants. i shared a room with tony (colleague) and connected to kristine and monique's room.

so, that's that, next few weeks will be very busy with all the work stuff that i need to do. hay nako.

post birthday with friends
------

reb, carmen and i celebrated my birthday, after almost a month, at o'leary's at the singapore flyer. we had dinner and drinks, but we never really went up the flyer, i want to do that but maybe when joan and paulo comes over in july. i know joan would love that.

carmen holding my birthday present - a shirt saying mr. mischief. they have this perception that i am such a naughty person. they would always say, how i get my way with older people like auntie's and how i charm them to bits. hello, why was i even a client servicing person, if i could not do that. they would always remind me of the fact that i was my boss' favorite person in the office (we worked together before).

rebecca trying to eat - she came late, and left early. good, that i was able to snap this photo, as she really doesn't want her photo taken.

ribs, chicken wings, all with their famous BBQ sauce - which honestly wasn't really good.

platter - grilled chicken, beef, lamb, prawns with bacon and egg. i loved the fried bacon, it was super crispy. you can see the salad behind. i remember when we would have weekend bfast back in manila - there would be 2 kinds of bacon - a crispy one for my mom and sister, and the soft and soggy one - for me and dad. we always have fried egg and garlic rice with it. yummy!

another photo, see how nice the egg looked like.

honestly, i don't think i would ever come back to this place, the food wasn't spectacular. the only nice thing about the F&B outlets in the flyer is that there was no one, no queue's, you don't need to hurry up to finish your dinner, since there will be people waiting to sit at your table. if you just want to hang out, i recommend you to go there, there's also a few choices that you can go to, chinese, italian, american food, etc. go pick!

i used to collect ARCHIE comics back when i was in grade school, though we would usually buy the JUGHEAD double digest, because we love jughead more than archie. haha! i went to this comic store in raffles city and saw this. i got 4 out of 6, they didn't have the part 3 and part 6 unfortunately, and these are actually the more important part - the ending. shit.

archie comics - the one proposal.

anyway, i have received the briefs, i think i would be busy for the next few weeks. hopefully, it will be over soon, i cant wait for my next holiday.
