touched :)
------

after seeing some banner ads of the brand i handled in my previous agency. i msn-ed my previous AD and told her about it. i said that they followed our grid, even treatment.. hello! they used (ex-beauty queen turned B grade star) to be the face of their new campaign. we had a semi-famous singaporean beauty queen turned model for ours. the most important thing, is that we launched late last year, and they are just launching 2nd quarter of 2008. and yes, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

i eagerly msn-ed my previous AD, and the conversation went like this:

ME says: check out yahoo, they have banners there.
AD says: AS(media partner) and me were just talking about u
ME says: oh AS..
AD says: yeap
AD says: he was saying that JC (client) really like you and JO (Ex-CSD)
AD says: oh u mean the curve at the bottom
ME says: how does he know?
ME says: yeah.. the grid.
AD says: but their looks better, honestly
Anton says: hahaha
AD says: we r supposed to have lunch with you right?
ME says: yes

---

these things just really makes me smile at the end of the day. :) ang babaw ko, pero in this line of work, being appreciated is one of the best rewards you can get. i have been blessed to work with some really good clients, but there are some who just cant make it. :)

happy birthday to my good friend joan manalang aka artist chef. more blessings to you and your loved ones.

they went to baguio, where am i headed to???
------

family went off to baguio last week, and i got these pictures from chicho's multiply. they had weird timing, as in left on a sunday morning to tuesday. aggie took leave, which thank GOD pwede. hahaha! mom messaged me like a month before and asked me if i wanted to join them, i can go home for a few days daw. but i said no, because these are our busy months in the office, plus the fact that i am really trying to save up for some stuff, and trying to save my leaves for future use.

it looked fun, chicho said, that we might go na lang daw sa christmas when i come home, but i am not really sure if i wanted to do baguio, since paguran yon, 8 hours!!!

mom and cho with auntie dawna's dog, coco. i saw him last christmas, and he looked so cute.

family somewhere (i dont know where, since college pa ako last nagpunta don, and i never did the tourist stuff, sa bahay and ukay lang ako)

mom and daw in the living room, may bonfire! saya!

they roasted hotdog and marshmallows. eto mas gusto ko, id go to baguio to do this, but just thinking about it baka sa tagaytay highlands na lang, mas malapit pa.

i think this was in baguio country club, that japanese restaurant there. the chef was showing off his skills.. yeah!

---

past few days, parati kong naabutan si pedi sa ym, so nagchat kame. i was telling him, i wanted to take a year break in whatever am doing, then punta akong europe and work as kahit ano.. not really kahit ano, gusto ko ma-try and simple life sa europe, like being SA, etc, basta yung di masyadong stress. i mean as long as what i am earning is livable naman. he was saying na i can actually do that, and study muna para mas easier to enter. i want sana, per not now, am just starting a new, sana before pa. i mean, i will do that in the next few years maybe but not now.

so, just thinking about travel plans, im flying off to visit obee in HCM this june 14-17, and am really excited. haha! i want MAY to be over na talaga.. haha! am gonna bw with linly and tita bot.

next plan is to go tokyo with rebecca, carmen, ida (reb's friend who i met yesterday, she is very cool)... that is if we can save up for an augsut trip, and if the hk trip with mom doesnt push thru. but we decided na if we dont have enough money for it, we will just go angkor wat.

i hope i-annouce na ang starcom trip, i hope we'd go some place i have never been to, para something new. please!!! promise, ill be nice, i think am nice naman, nicer na lang. :)

sunday pasta
------

i cooked pasta for dinner last sunday. i had a can of tuna, some creams left from the last barbecue, some pasta from achi michelle, and a can of cream of mushroom. so, i decided to whip up a quick tuna pasta that i would usually do.

i was really tired from the weekend, obee was here and it was full of activities. we slept around 5.30am on a saturday morning. i was really tired but it was fun. i will post pictures when obee sends me the pictures from her camera.

the sauce..

i forgot to put oil and salt in the water while boiling, but it tastes okay anyway. lutang ata ako.

the finished product.

oh well, i ate a bit then ayoko na. hahaha!

fun lunch.
------

carmen was my ex-colleague in my previous agency. we resigned almost the same time, but while i went to another place, she went to starcom. she is turning 1 year already. its funny cause i dont even get to see her, am turning 3mos now, but we just had out first lunch last thursday. it is probably because she is on the 7th, while we are on the 5th.

we had lunch at sushi tei, it was super fun to talk to her. we reminisced on funny incidents, actually more than just workmates, friends din kame, cause we would usually meet up on weekends, and watch a moviet, etc.

before when she was still new, she would report to me kasi, so she would ask me certain questions, show me artworks, etc. once, i was super ngarag, so i was wearing this hat and i wrote "DON'T TALK TO ME", sabi nya natakot daw siya sa akin kaya di nya ako kinausap. HAHAHA! may nauto pala ako at may natakot sa akin. ok lang yon. sa crush nga, may umiyak eh.

gyoza for starters, $5.

chicken karage as ulam, $6.

we shared salmon tendon (good!) raw salmon mixed together with shredded salmon and rice, $12.

rainbow roll, the best, $12.

carmen digging in..

now we're planning to meet up with reb naman. haha!

good things come in small packages
------

every morning, i always see cheryl carrying this ugly looking packet (package), and then she just eats it every morning. i was so curious cause it smells funny, and asked her what the hell is that?! well, it was yam cake, and she gave me a piece to try, which surprisingly was really good.

its not necessarily something new to me. everytime my grandparents or mom would go to ongpin, they would buy raddish cakes and fry it until golden brows, its rather crispy and chewy, like chips. but i wasn't really a fan, everytime they would offer me, i'd just pass it to someone who is interested in it.

now, for the past three mornings, i'd buy this before i go to office, imaginge its just $2, called yam cake (raddish with bits of whatever, ground meat.. i think) my juice also evolved, not just OJ, but pineapple orange na! added phytochemicals to fight cancer. hahaha!

good stuff

keeps me full til after lunch, around 2pm.

sakit at saya
------

yesterday, our team spent the whole day on seminars and activities, started from 9am to like 10pm. i was dead tired, i feel more tired than having the normal work day itself.

i was in and out of the room since i had to call other markets and make sure everything is aligned, follow up here and there.. haha! ok lang, im happy since i get to talk to the team from other markets, i mean i need to build a rapport or a smooth working relationship with them anyways.

actually we are a group of 20, and we split ourselves to do some kind of exercise. my team won, i am happy about that as well, i hear we are getting like $50 borders voucher, so i can get new books and cds naman. HAHA! i am very happy that i was able to contribute to the team talaga, masaya ako kahit ako lang may alam nun. HAHA!

after the seminar at carlton hote, we had dinner at indochine at the ancient civilization museum. it was a good dinner, free flow of wine and whatever, i got coke lite as usual. i was so busog from all the buffet lunch, etc, that i felt to bloated. eeeekkk!

--

super sakit ng katawan ko, plus the fact na tumakbo ako all the way to indochine kasi ang lakas ng ulan crap, cgro i was under the pouring rain for 8 minutes while running, crap! so basang-basa talaga. i forgot to drink my vitamins pa. so, i feel really tired today and a bit sick. i called the massage parlor downstairs, near our office, and scheduled a 7.30pm, 1hour massage, cheap lang, $40.

i have to wait for other market to send the everything i need, so i can compile and make sure everything is planned accordingly. i hope they revert soon, or else, tatawagan ko na naman sila. sorry for being makulit. and i kinda feel na i would stay late tonight to fix those presentations again. in-eexpect ko na siya.

--

oh, i emailed daphne osena and inquired regarding one of these pendants that i really like, its from europe, 14k gold, hand-painted in the philippines, it costs P16k-P19k each. i didn't expect that it would be that expensive, cgro 5k willing ako without having to think twice, but this is like buying a jewelry talaga, at balak ko lang siya idagdag sa necklace ko.

anyway, i still like it and i might get it. i am not sure lang how cause am stuck here in sg. i dont have any plans of going home til end year pa.

daphne sent a picture of it over her iphone.

should i get it?!

A in the wonderland
------

A, my previous account director messaged me if i want to grab lunch with her today, so being my new-self which is almost always free, i said yes. she went to my office cause she has some errands to run anyway, and met up at the lobby. walked a couple of minutes to sushu tei.

i got chicken kastudon, and she got her japanese soup, and we shared sushi, rainbow roll which is just great. i love sushi, and this is my new favorite. HAHA! i promise to arm myself with a digicam the next time i eat there, maybe when obee is back here on april 15.

anyway, she told me that she resigned.. i know the news since she messaged me that she will put my name under her references when passing her resume to the headhunter. i am actually happy for her, and she seems really happy as well.

when i was approaching her, she said.. "anton, you look good..."
i replied ... "you look good too, nice hair and all"
she said.., "yes, cause i am counting down"

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

i dont mean to be insensitive with what i will be saying, but i will say whatever i want to say.. i am happy that i have left that place, i think it was the perfect timing, december and all. i am happy where i am today, and i am grateful for this blessing. i have prayed and dina-"the secret" ko na to be in a better place. and now, i am. i hope this continues.

tomorrow, we have off-site, the 5th floor team will go to carlton hotel to have endless seminars and meeting, and bonding moments or whatever there is. i hope its fun and not boring, then off to dinner at indochine at civilization house. will update and take pictures for tom, shiyet, early ah, 9am on the dot.

yes, magbabago na ako!
------

i am a creature of habit, i admit that fact, like before when i was still studying in DLSU, mac and cheese/ iced tea every break time, nung 3rd year na ako, i had the pesto chicken with rice an dumpling, then graduating, aristo sisig na. when i had my first year in UST, every lunch i ask yaya to buy me 2 packs of fried squid from ERSAO for lunch, and a watermelon shake for 3 months.

i can remember a specific part of my life with a certain food. GASSO, when i crave for chicken joy, i eat it for 3 days straight. or if i wanted to go to the multi-tasking manang for fried liempo or chicken with veggie. it happens to me here as well, i craved for char kway teow, that oily black/brown noodle, i ate it for lunch for 4 days, craved for ban mien, ate it for 3 days too. chicken and duck rice, 4 days straight.

thats why i want to go to the mixed rice stall, where i can chose whatever ulam i want, pwedeng fish, pork, tofu, kangkong, etc at least may variety, at atleast may gulay.

--

i don't really eat a lot of fruits, thats why i usually take papaya shake or OJ in the morning, but now, i am inspired to take heaps of fruits, as part of my daily intake. i am trying to live my life healthily, and try to lose weight at the same time. but i promise to eat healthiliy first and foremost. i'd take lots of water, and less starbucks and cookies, and cakes, and etc. basta!

OJ 88 for daily dose of vitamin C!

mixed fuits, papaya, watermelon and melon.. eto na ang pinaka-kinakain kong fruits. so one serving of each in the morning, hopefully to keep me up until early afternoon.
